Roles and Responsibility :

Job Description:

 

The role of Head of Department – HR will entail creating a performance-driven culture that encompasses the full breadth of the HR spectrum- it will be a blend of HR strategy, organizational design, a comprehensive HR generalist role, recruitment, compensation and benefits, etc.

·         HR Strategies and Processes: Design and implement impactful human capital strategy, HR strategies, and processes, along with implementation.

·         Talent Management: Building a strong employer brand and promoting the ethos of the organisation. Willingness to initiate hands-on involvement in areas of forecasting hiring needs from approved staffing plans, prioritisation of request fulfillment, etc.

·         Organisation Design and Development: Design and deliver organisation structure, management strategies, and operation processes. Provide advice and support to the line managers on appropriate team structure and design to meet current and future business needs.

·         Performance Management: Improvise and implement performance appraisal system across the organisation. Periodically review human resource management performance measures and identify necessary course of corrections.

·         Compensation and Benefits: To design and implement compensation and benefits policies, processes, and practices in line with internal and external benchmarks, as well as statutory compliances.

·         HR Operations and Payroll Management: Designing and implementing benefits, compliance-related policies, and working with the management to ensure its alignment with the business needs. Handling complete on-boarding and exit formalities.

Skills Required

·         Outstanding knowledge of state and local labour regulations/compliance (office, warehouse, manufacturing unit)

·         Ability to work in a fast paced with quick decision-making environment

·         Expertise in employee relations, communication, and strong interpersonal and negotiations skills

·         Perform additional duties, projects, etc. as necessary to support the organisation.

Qualifications:

·         Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organisation Development. PGDM/ Masters Degree preferred.

·         2-4 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resource positions.

·         Specialised training in employment law, compensation, organisational planning, organisation development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
